“Finding Strength in Depression” Day 2: HE hears you….

Standard

“The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.  He rescues them from all their troubles.  The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.  The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.”  Psalms 34:17-19

“God,

Sometimes I feel so alone in my sadness.  Sometimes I don’t even know what I am sad about.  You have blessed me with so much, A wonderful Husband, Family, Friends, Church, and so much more.  Please take this away from me!  Sometimes it is so much to take.  Help me to feel your presence in all of this.  Help me to believe that you are close, I don’t always feel it.  Why is that?  Am I missing something?  Bring me to my knee’s and let me hear your voice.  I just want to hear it once, so that I know you are listening.  Well… I know you are, but I just want to not struggle with this anymore.  There is a purpose for this though, or else you would have taken it from me.  Can you make clear what your purpose is?  Again, I just want to be close to you…fill me with awareness that you are around.  I love you God…. Love Always, Carolyn.”

Today I wrote that.  Keep seeking HIM, and HIS presence will be found in your life.  He will get you through it.  After I prayed that to him, I felt closer and more supported.  Somehow I got through the day and I was ok!  Look for the small things that you are blessed with daily.  That is when God reveals HIS appearance in your life.  Even though you don’t think that God is listening, trust me, HE is because God always finds a way to let me know that HE got the message.  So keep talking to him through it.  Be still and know that HE IS GOD.
